The fourth VLN-Race (June 12, 2010)
THE RACE
At the 4th race of the Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring (VLN) the boes Motorsport racing team from Kempenich competed with a close-to-production Porsche 996: After an engine failure at the third VLN race and a few damages at the Porsche Carrera during the legendary 24-hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in mid-May, boes Motorsports took advantage of the past weeks to check-up the vehicle from scratch. "We have now installed a new engine that we wanted to break-in and to test first," explains team manager Horst Boes.

The driver trio Jörg Wiskirchen, Carsten Welschar and Jens Riemer completed 23 laps of the 24.433 km long circuit in the four hours of racing, consisting of the Nürburgring-Sprintcourse and the Nordschleife, and in the end drove it to the fifth place in the class "V6". But as Horst Boes said: "For safety reasons we had spared the new engine and are consequently also satisfied with the fifth place."
Jörg Wiskirchen stated after the race: "The engine made a few problems at the beginning and had missfires, but these disappeared during the race." In addition, an onset of rain in the final laps of the “41st Adenauer ADAC RundstreckenTrophy” made driving difficult on one of the most demanding circuits in the world. Also two unscheduled pit stops set the team from Kempenich back in the ranking. Nevertheless he draws a positive conclusion: "The car is really very good on the track. We found an optimal setting for the chassis and want to attack again fully in the coming races." The goal for the rest of the season 2010 is now to constantly compete for the first three places in the class.
The fourth boes Motorsport driver Andres Serrano (Ecuador) started on a BMW E46. He immediately performed fast laps, but only reached place seven in the class "V4". Klaus Hänel from the motorsport team about his colleague: "We had a great racing weekend. It is nice that Andres Serrano drives the BMW. The spirit as team member rises when you have such a good and understanding driver at your side that you may support . I hope that Andres will continue to drive for us."

24h-ADAC-Rennen 2010
THE PREPARATION
Boes Motorsport will meet the challenge of the 24h-Race on the Nürburgring for the second time
In 2010 the Boes Motorsport Team from Kempenich will start in the „V6“ class at the “38. ADAC-Zurich 24h-Rennen”
(ADAC: General German Automobile Association) on the Nürburgring with a close-to-production Porsche 966.
The crew around team manager Horst Boes is participating for the second time at the legendary long-distance race in the Eifel.
„Our principal goal is it to have fun and to see the checkered flag at the end “, says Boes and continues: „The Porsche is a
very fast and reliable car, therefore we hope that we will be a factor front and center in our class. The Nordschleife
(North Loop)-experienced drivers Jens Riemer, Jörg Wißkirchen and Carsten Welschar will be behind the wheel.
The racing team was founded in 2007 and has its seat in Kempenich, approximately 20 kilometers away from the Nürburgring.
This year several new members have joined the team, therefore Boes emphasizes: „In 2010 we want to consolidate the team in
order to be prepared for the future. Because we want to firmly establish ourselves at the Nürburgring and ensure its future as
a motor sports location.” Next to the Porsche Boes Motorsport plans to send a Ginetta G50 GT4 to the 24h-Race.
The British racing car already celebrated its debut on the North Loop in the current season of the VLN long-distance championship.
At the moment the team works with high pressure on the adjustment of the vehicle to the regulation – however a start at the
Eifel classic is still uncertain.
THE RACE
The deed is done: Both Ginetta and Porsche saw the checkered flag at the end of the race!! Our congratulations to the drivers and the
whole team for that great result! The Ginetta made it onto place 99 in the total results (place 6 in its class) and the Porsche finished
the race at position 105, but wasn't counted in the end ....... Details will follow shortly, till then check out the first pictures:

The third VLN-Race (April 24, 2010)
No Ginettas running this weekend: Both troubles to get the spare parts from England and the short time in
between the two races have made it impossible for the team to get them ready in time ... Check out Horst
Boes report in the "Mechanics blog/Racing Records" to get an idea WHAT he and the team have been going
through! :) Would be a lie to say that we are NOT a bit sad about that - BUT luckily we still have the BMW 318iS:

And yesss ... finally all the work and enthousiasm has payed off somewhat:
Dirk Kornmeyer and Andres Serrano drove the BMW to a good 4th place.
Both agreed that performance has improved considerably and they are very
optimistic on the future development!

The other Ginetta was seriously damaged while testing - and crashing - on the Nürburgring last week!
Videos from all VLN-races 2010 an be found at our YouTube-Channel SRSmotoroils .
But for now here are the first pics of the race:
